Congratulations to Bardot for being the first high street store (at least that I know of) to get in drop crotch pants. Hate the model, but she’s making me want to give them a shot. If only i wasn’t so short!!!! I wonder if anybody here will buy them?

Bardot is also guilty of copying those Burberry heels. They look alright in the pic, but are of horrid quality in real life.

Micha Barton Accessories

As if we didn’t have enough celebrity-designers (no I will not use the term ‘delebrity’!) already, Mischa Barton’s gone and made four bags of her own. To me, they look like over-priced vintage but the cheapest one at 20 pounds is my favourite.

It’s no secret florals and tiered skirts a la Luella Spring/Summer 08 are in. Topshop combined it with a bit of art-school chic, Forever 21 nearly made it frumpy, and Dotti changed the colour. The question is, which knockoff is best? (Unfortunately, I only really have one choice since there isn’t any F21 or Topshop here. But Dotti’s is nicest anyway, don’t you think?)

That’s right, folks, I’m officially a Chictopian. I scoffed for so long at the unashamed narcissism, but finally I gave in. Give it a go.

Honestly. Why must MJ insist on using such horrible pictures for such a beautiful dress? And what makes VB think she looks good in this? I’m not a big fan of hers, but I know she isn’t stiff, orange and ugly (most of the time). She looks like she has some kind of Barbie salute going on. What’s with the harsh lighting, unnecessary shadows and uneven fake tan? Why does she look like she has a stick up her bum? (Or is it something worse…guesses anyone?)

At least this one’s better than last season’s…

This will probably be everywhere soon, but there you go. It seems like the fashion greats are slowly dying off with nobody to step in their shoes…

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s new line, Elizabeth + James, is pretty good. But that isn’t what I’m here to talk about today; some of their products just made my eyes pop at their similarity to certain other numbers seen recently.

Now I’m not saying that MK & A’s dress is anywhere near as nice as Kate Bosworth’s vintage Chanel. But just bear with me: just imagine that Chanel dress had a lovechild with a Pucci shift. I think that baby would look somewhat similar to this versatile sequin dress (that was my first thought upon seeing the Olsens’ creation).

The first time I saw Serena’s jacket on Gossip Girl’s “The Blair Bitch Project”, saliva somehow made its way outside my mouth and formed little rivulets running toward my chin. Maybe I’m exaggerating a little, but I did come close. Thank goodness, then, for this lovely jacket: it will certainly save much time replaying that episode just to get another glimpse of Serena’s top.

Please, please, Elizabeth + James, come to Australia!
